asapm would like to request your assistance with updating the USA National Competence Baseline (USA-NCB). We have begun the update through the use of a limited-access wiki.
The primary use of the USA-NCB at present is to provide guidance for the assessment of certification candidates at Levels A, B, and C. We want to enhance it so that it can also:
-- Provide basic content for our entry level certification, Level D.
-- Serve as a general overview of project management for anyone interested in the discipline of project management.
-- Support educators and trainers in the design and preparation of course materials.
If you're willing to help out, please head over to the following wiki at your convenience:
http://asapm.org/wikipm/index.php?title=Main_Page
There are instructions on the Main Page. You will need to create a user ID to make edits or comments, but anyone is welcome to view the content.
We have loaded an outline of the final product (there's a link from the Main Page), plus several competence elements to get started. If we are able to make progress on the material that is there, we will add additional competence elements for your editing pleasure.
In addition to contributing to PM competence in the USA, working with this project will give you experience in working with a wiki, a key part of Web 2.0. This project is using MediaWiki, the same tool that drives WikiPedia.
Thanks in advance for your help!
